As we round up on an amazing year, we look back on our U-Save and Green Motion International Conference 2025, the energy, insights, and unity forged during the event in London continue to resonate across our global network. Franchisees from around the world came together for a powerful event celebrating progress, innovation, and collaboration, a milestone moment that set the tone for the year ahead.
Hosted at the Hilton London Bankside, this year’s conference was designed around the theme “Mission: Licence to Succeed,” combining powerful presentations, engaging discussions, and memorable experiences that strengthened the sense of unity across the global Green Motion and U-Save brands. Importantly, the event also focused on how we continue to improve what we do for our customers, recognising and rewarding outstanding service across our network, ensuring every interaction delivers the quality, reliability, and care our customers expect.
Franchisees arrived from across the globe to a warm welcome, opening with an address from Richard Lowden, Founder & CEO of Green Motion and President of U-Save Car & Truck Rental.
The afternoon provided valuable opportunities for franchisees to reconnect, share experiences, and engage directly with the Head Office leadership team.
As evening fell, delegates donned their Day of the Dead-inspired attire for a spectacular boat dinner experience along the River Thames, featuring the unforgettable moment Tower Bridge lifted as the Dixie Queen Boat passed beneath — the perfect start to a weekend of connection, creativity, and celebration.
CEO Richard Lowden officially opened the conference with a keynote that set an inspiring tone for the sessions ahead.
Throughout the morning, Green Motion’s senior leadership team delivered a series of dynamic presentations exploring every aspect of the business — from product and operations to marketing and commercial strategy reflecting the company’s ongoing pursuit of exceeding excellence and innovation.
Delegates then enjoyed a networking lunch, before the highly anticipated Expert Partner Panel, hosted by Anton Savage.
The afternoon highlight came from Mark Beaumont, record-breaking endurance cyclist and broadcaster, who shared powerful insights into resilience, teamwork, and the mindset required to keep pushing forward through both challenge and routine. His words perfectly captured the Green Motion spirit — one of perseverance, collaboration, and ambition.
Mark later joined Steve Dennis, COO of Enjoy Travel Group, for an engaging discussion on The Yorkshire Beast Challenge, before the Franchise Panel took to the stage. This session featured franchise representatives from Portugal, Orlando, and Ethiopia, sharing best practices and strategies for operational excellence and growth.
The day closed with remarks from Richard Lowden and a group photo, capturing the collective energy and pride of the international Green Motion and U-Save network.
As night fell, delegates gathered for a Drinks Reception and Gala Dinner, where a spectacular James Bond–themed celebration awaited, creating an unforgettable evening of entertainment and connection.
The highlight of the night was the Network Awards Ceremony, allowing us to acknowledge all the hard work and progress made throughout the year in areas such as expansion, branding, customer service, and operations. These efforts directly benefit our customers by making their experience smoother, more reliable, and accessible.
In partnership with Booking.com, CarTrawler, Expedia, and Priceline, awards were presented to recognise the franchisees that go above and beyond to deliver a seamless rental experience, ensuring convenience and quality at every step of the customer journey.
The celebrations carried on into the evening, giving delegates the perfect opportunity to relax, celebrate, and connect further.
After a weekend filled with inspiration, learning, and shared purpose, franchisees left energised and united by a shared commitment to continue driving Green Motion’s growth worldwide.
